HI THERE! My name's Anita, otherwise known as "THE SASSY CHEF". I sort of captain the ship around here at the SWEET BITES BAKERY, which has long been a figment of my imagination since learning to bake at my mother's knee. The "sass" comes from being adventurous and having a go-for-it attitude toward life. And that's how things got started, when at 8 years old, I baked my first cake. My birthday cake, no less. How did it turn out? A complete disaster. I royally bombed on that one. The cake was round alright, but tough and flat. This was a prelude to the many mistakes I was to make along my journey to becoming a master baker. But you know what? Each mistake was a teaching tool and lesson to learn from. After completing Culinary Arts school and working in different venues of the retail confectionery trade, I have perfected my skills so as to venture out and bring to you SWEET BITES BAKERY. By now I'll bet you're probably wondering how we came to specialize in gluten-free, dairy-free and sugar- free products for the "diet challenged." Well, I'm a diabetic who also has allergies and intolerance to wheat, dairy products, eggs, soy, and peanuts. Knowing that there are others who suffer from some of the same issues prompted me to reach out and develop tasty food that we all can enjoy. We are small, but we insist on having honest to goodness homemade flavored products that are sure to tantalize your taste buds and have you begging for more.
